Emerging in 1971 as a local early innovator in demolition of large and difficult structures, Staton Companies has served and assisted property owners, developers, general contractors and government agencies with their toughest demolition, sitework and environmental projects.
Throughout the Western United States, industry professionals call Staton for help to develop demolition and recycling strategies as well as provide these services. We have extensive experience in dismantling and recycling mills and wood processing facilities, industrial plants, paper plants, hydro electric plants, dams, removing bridges and freeway overpasses, demolishing residential structures, Petro - chemical and commercial structures, including gasoline service stations.
Over the years, we have developed a highly skilled team of over 40 professionals, using over 60 pieces of state-of-the-art equipment. It is the precision and ingenuity of these employees that elevates Staton Companies as a premiere Northwest service provider performing over 100 jobs annually in our industry.
OUR OWNERS
Jeanne Staton is President and an active participant of Staton Companies since its inception in 1971. She brought with her extensive business experience in the trucking industry, and has since become proficient in most aspects of the business.
Being a woman in the male-dominated demolition business has never been a problem for her. She has worked hard to be accepted as a serious player in the industry.
The Governor appointed her to the Construction Contractors Board where she served until June of 2000. She is active in the Associated General Contractors and served in 2003 as the first woman president of the Oregon-Columbia chapter. She currently serves on that Board as well as the National Board of AGC. She is a past president of the Eugene chapter of the National Association of Women and an active member. She is also on the Boards of the Northwest College of Construction, Associated Oregon Industries, and Looking Glass.
Staton Companies has certification as a DBE, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise in the State of Oregon (#1358) and in the state of Washington (#D2F7217462).
Ron Richey operated his own site work company until 1983 when he was hired by Staton Companies as an estimator/supervisor. After many years of exhibiting excellent leadership skills and working very hard to make the company prosperous, he was made a partner in April of 1995. Ron recently completed 7 years of service to the National Demolition Association (NDA). He was a director for six years and a Committee Chair for seven years.
Ron estimates and manages all work performed by Staton and specializes in complicated, dangerous or difficult demolition projects. Ron is expert in UST work, and is OSHA 1910.120 Haz-Mat rated. He has over 30 years experience in all types of demolition and site work projects.
